Organization

MaineTransNet was founded in 2005 by Alex Roan and incorporated as Maine Transgender Network, Inc. in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Mission

Our mission is to provide support and resources for the transgender community, their families, and significant others, and to raise awareness about the varied forms of gender identity and expression by providing training and consultation to health and social service providers.

Services

MaineTransNet facilitates peer support groups for trans people and allies, as well as providing avenues for social networking and public dialogue.
